FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
WORLD EXCLUSIVE ED SHEERAN AND JETHRO SHEERAN TO RESOLVE THEIR DIFFERENCES ON THE ANDREW EBORN SHOW – COMMON GROUND?
Ed Sheeran’s Cousin Jethro Sheeran Declares Andrew Eborn Interview “My Favourite to Date” – First Time He Laughs, Delivers Forensic Unpacking of “A Little More” Lyrics Line-by-Line, and Issues Direct Appeal to Ed Sheeran to come on The Andrew Eborn Show COMMON GROUND to find Reconciliation
London – In a landmark, no-holds-barred television exclusive, Jethro Sheeran, first cousin of global superstar Ed Sheeran, has delivered his most revealing, emotional and constructive interview yet — declaring it the best he has ever given.
Appearing on The Andrew Eborn Show, Jethro Sheeran for the first time systematically and forensically dissected the lyrics of Ed Sheeran’s song “A Little More” (from the 2025 album Play), stating unequivocally that the track was written about him.
He walked through specific lines and explained why he believes each one refers to him, his mental-health struggles, family circumstances and their shared history.
Key lyric-by-lyric analysis from the interview includes:
- “I can’t call you crazy ’cause you could be diagnosed” / “I used to love you / Now every day I hate you just a little more and more and more”
Jethro said the song was released roughly three to four weeks after he left a psychiatric ward. At the time he had not yet been formally diagnosed but was suffering from PTSD linked to trauma, ADHD, chronic panic disorder and acute anxiety. He had been living in Denmark, became very ill, and was hospitalised. He noted that Ed used to lean on him and follow him around when Ed was younger, making the “used to love you… hate you just a little more” refrain particularly pointed from his perspective.- “I know that I’m your scapegoat whenever the rain falls, whenever you slip or when you’re in a dip. I was there to lean on when I was a kid. But now that I’m an adult, I see it for what it is.”
Jethro interpreted the “scapegoat” and “dip” references as alluding to his mental-health dips and the claim that Ed positioned himself as the one who had supported Jethro in childhood — a dynamic Jethro says was actually the reverse when Ed was younger.- “For your dad’s sake, please move out of your dad’s place. Stop bringing drama there with your mates. Your sister’s got enough to manage on her plate to worry about you controlling your rage.”
Jethro stated he has never lived at his father’s house and has had almost no contact with his father for nearly a decade. He believes the line actually refers to his mother’s home in Bristol, where he stayed while recovering from pneumonia and severe mental-health difficulties; his mother, a nurse, was caring for him. - He said the “sister” reference is a gender-swapped allusion to his brother, and that the “rage” and “drama with your mates” lines mischaracterise the situation and draw on second-hand family information. He emphasised that the comments about family living arrangements and mental health felt invasive and mocking given the private trauma he was dealing with at the time.
Jethro also detailed the alleged removal of approximately 48 of his own songs from streaming platforms — claims he says are supported by legal correspondence from Warner’s lawyers acting on Ed Sheeran’s instruction — and reiterated earlier assertions about uncredited early lyrical contributions and collaborations under the Urban Angel banner.
In a powerful moment of candour, he detailed the personal pain behind the words, the wider family fallout, and the emotional toll. Crucially, this was also the first interview in which Jethro Sheeran was seen to laugh openly and visibly soften.
Reflecting on the conversation, he told host Andrew Eborn:
“This has been my favourite interview to date… He got a smile out of me, which no one else has done — even Piers Morgan or Don Lemon.”
In a striking and conciliatory climax, Jethro Sheeran issued a direct, on-camera invitation to his cousin:
“Ed, I reckon you should come on Andrew Eborn’s show and let’s unpack this together… Let’s unpack your song and my song and tell the truth together… I forgive you for everything you’ve done… Don’t be a coward and tell us on Andrew Eborn that you wrote it about me. And be honest.” He further appealed for the pair to appear together on The Andrew Eborn Show’s signature Common Ground format — a platform dedicated to dialogue, evidence and resolution rather than confrontation.
Background
Jethro Sheeran and Ed Sheeran are first cousins who once collaborated closely in the early stages of Ed’s career. Jethro has long claimed he introduced his younger cousin to London studios and stages, contributed lyrics and ideas to early material, and helped bridge Ed into the UK grime and urban scenes alongside artists such as Wiley and Scorcher. Their relationship later fractured amid accusations of uncredited contributions, the removal of Jethro’s catalogue from platforms, and the release of “A Little More” — a track Jethro insists is a pointed personal attack referencing his mental-health struggles, family living arrangements and private life. The dispute has played out publicly across multiple platforms, with Jethro previously appearing on Piers Morgan Uncensored, Don Lemon and other shows.
He has described Ed in strong terms while insisting the conflict is not driven by jealousy but by specific actions and a perceived pattern of discarding those who helped him rise. In the same exclusive, Jethro drew a parallel with the high-profile exit of Macklemore from Ed Sheeran’s tour. Citing Macklemore’s own public statements that he was removed by Ed Sheeran and his team, Jethro argued the episode reflected a recurring pattern of loyalty tested and relationships discarded when inconvenient — a charge he links directly to his own experience.
Andrew Eborn, known for forensic yet fair interviewing, guided the discussion beyond headlines and social-media heat. Viewers witnessed a rare shift in tone: from bitterness to reflection, from accusation to an open door for reconciliation.
Jethro confirmed that the positive change in his demeanour was unprecedented in previous media appearances. The exclusive also features Jethro’s first detailed account of their early creative collaboration under the Urban Angel banner, the happier memories of studio sessions and shared stages, and his forthcoming response track “Eject”, which he has agreed to perform live on The Andrew Eborn Show.
This is more than another chapter in a family feud. It is a high-stakes invitation — issued publicly and in good faith — for two cousins, both musicians, to sit face-to-face, examine the evidence (including the specific lyric interpretations above), and seek common ground.
Jethro Sheeran is scheduled to appear on The Andrew Eborn Show In London Town Tonight this Friday 2nd October for a performance and further discussion.
An open invitation remains extended to Ed Sheeran to join the conversation on Andrew Eborn’s Common Ground. Macklemore has also been invited to share his perspective..
